About Us

Wink Cars began in February 2021, when Joanna identified a gap in the market for a female-run car dealership. She approached Jodie with the idea, and together they launched the business. Our friendship started eight years ago when we played football for Stourbridge Ladies.

Initially, we operated out of the back of an industrial estate in West Bromwich. As the business grew, we moved to a larger site in August 2022, now located on a 30-car pitch in Tipton.

Our journey has been marked by significant milestones. We won a competition hosted by Simply Business, ‘Empowering Women in Business,’ which awarded us an exclusive one-on-one mentorship session with Baroness Karren Brady.

This recognition led to appearances on BBC WM radio, a feature in SME Magazine, and the Express and Star. Following these successes, we were "Highly Commended" at the Car Dealer Mag Used Car Awards as the Newcomer Dealer of the Year 2023 and featured on the Car Dealer Mag Podcast. We've also been invited by AutoTrader as guest speakers at events like Car Dealer Live and the EV Summit. Additionally, we collaborated with CarWow, presenting on driving change for women in the automotive industry.

Our most recent accolade is the Newcomer Dealer 2024 award at the Motor Industry Awards.
